I was a member of the MRC (Medical Reserve Corps) in New Mexico, but I wasn’t able to complete all of the training to ever go out and do anything due to pharmacy school. Well, I found the information for the Maui County Health Volunteers (MCHV) organization, which is the MRC for Maui County. Learning about disaster preparedness is actually exciting, partially because there is so much training online for these things, all for free! And it’s stuff I like to learn. I just finished my second FEMA course, so now I just have to go in and show them I am who I say I am, and then I should be good to go.
