We Did It!

Well, after much stressing, searching, reading, writing, more searching, reading and writing, WE FINISHED OUR IRB APPLICATION!

I think this is one of the biggest hurdles for residents in the start of their residency. You don’t want to mess up your IRB (Institutional Review Board) application, and you hope you can do a study that is either exempt or qualifies as expedited review. Ours should be expedited, and our fingers are crossed that they will accept it without changes. It’s quite a piece of work, actually. I don’t know how we ended up with 46 references (all legit), but that’s what happens when you divvy up the work.

It’s been emailed and snail mailed, and is out of our hands. Now, we just WAIT.
